- Email address – Used exclusively for authentication via magic link
- Collections & Favorites – Albums, artists, and tracks you save
- Listening Preferences – Genres and styles you engage with
- Ratings & Comments – Your reviews and feedback on discoveries
- Anonymous Usage Signals – Interactions like clicks and page views, without personal identifiers
We do not use tracking cookies or collect personally identifiable information from your device or browsing behavior.
Authentication
We use Supabase's magic link authentication to keep your account secure. Here's how it works:
- You provide your email address
- We send you a secure, time-limited link
- Click the link to sign in – no password needed
- Your email is never stored in plaintext; it's securely hashed
We never ask for or store passwords. This approach is simpler, more secure, and eliminates the risk of password breaches.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely in Supabase, a cloud-hosted database service with industry-standard encryption and security measures.
Album metadata and music information come from public music databases and are used solely to power our discovery features.
Supabase complies with GDPR and other international data protection regulations.
Third-Party Services
uncovr relies on the following trusted services:
- Supabase – Authentication, database, and user data storage
- Vercel – Web hosting and content delivery
- Spotify – Preview playback links only (we do not store your Spotify credentials or access your Spotify account)
We share only the minimum necessary information with these services to operate uncovr. We do not sell or share your data with marketers, advertisers, or data brokers.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Delete your account – Permanently remove your profile and all associated data
- Export your data – Request a copy of your collections and preferences
- Opt out of analytics – Stop sending usage signals

uncovr is not directed at or intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we've collected data from a child under 13, we will immediately delete it.
